Irkutsk State Medical University
In 1994 Irkutsk State Medical University began training students in General Medicine. About 1,500 Medical Institute graduates of SurGU over the last 25 years work in Russia and abroad.Currently Irkutsk State Medical Universitya part of educational, research and biomedical cluster of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra including Department of Healthcare, Department of Education and Youth Policy, University clinical bases.
The concept of continuous medical education has been fully implemented at SurGU: pre-university education (school “Young Medic”) – medical college – specialty – internship – residency – fellowship – postgrad. Medical Institute gives an opportunity to carry out research at the scientific and educational Centre of molecular genetic research and biotechnology transfer, laboratories of genomic, postgenomic technologies, mass spectrometry, cell technologies, and multiphoton microscopy Irkutsk State Medical University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Irkutsk State Medical University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.The SurGU Board of Trustees includes the representatives of business, administrative, social and political circles of Surgut, the deputies of the Federal, Tyumen Regional and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area legislative assemblies, Surgut City Council. The Irkutsk State Medical University has good traditions of student self-government. Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of Irkutsk State Medical University is as follows:
Students must have NEET qualified.
Student must have completed class 12th with at least 50% from any Recognized board.
Student must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in his/her 12th standard.
Student must have completed 17 years of age on 31st December in Year of Admission.
Student must have Passport with 2 Years validity

The University consists of 2-3 student per hostel room.
Separate accommodation for boys and girls is provided by the University.
The campus of the hostel is Wi-Fi enabled and students can avail the free internet facility.
